I mentioned to Corey earlier today ... it's probably not that far off for us to get those new SSD (Solid State HD) systems rolling. Think they are up to 64GB.
The argument isn't about today. Most new phones out of Nokia will have SDHC support, that spec is listed to go up to 32 GB.
The N95 now supports SDHC with the latest firmware upgrade. Today you can order a 4GB card for it, in a month or two you can buy a 8GB card and I bet that by this time next summer we can get a 32GB version.
I see where you are going with your argument, I don't have more than 1GB of storage in my E61i, but then again I don't use it to play music or watch videos.
I don't really play much video or music on my Nokia's either. I shoot pics and videos though ... I don't have a 3.5" screen. I do still tend to use my iPod for podcasts and music based on how simply it works in my current (and actually long-standing) config here with all macs. The nokia media transfer app helps.
The cards get expensive pretty quickly. At least the ones I've seen the SDHC prices are usually 2x the same capacity regular card. All in good time I suppose...
I'm using a 4GB Micro SD-HC card on my N95 and really like it. Don't have to worry about conflicts between photos, movies, audio, and apps. More than enough space for me (at least for now).
I'm using a 2GB micro card on my N95. Was recently away for a month, taking photos each day and movies, and it didn't run out of room (although I had a spare 2GB card in case). I imagine that if I was putting podcasts / videocasts / music on there I'd want more than 2GB. Did I mention that I love my N95?

That's actually one thing I haven't heard said yet. Interesting.

My point exactly, the phones that can expand the memory typically only have 128mb at most.

well - how much? I'd kill for 8GB of mem on the N95 -- especially knowing that I would not be limited with our current resources.

Personally, I wouldn't be against a 60GB HDD in my phone. :)

yeah - well me either for that matter!

Well I've got mine expanded to 4gb on my N95 and I'd kill for more.

Just think about how lonely your N95's are going to be after Friday. That's just too sad to think about.
