@atmasphere - a consolidated campaign to get @janole to consider adding Jaiku/engine to Gravity?

would love to see gravity integration as well @janaole seems quite open on plans and suggestions as well.

btw - total fail on the m. link in my email. launched the full jaiku on the E75. m.jaiku.com login is not really a mobile page either while I'm thinking about it.

@atmasphere: Aye, the m.jaiku login page needs work, but then again, I think the whole m.jaiku site needs some work. I posted a basic mockup of the overview screen over here:

    More work to go.

any idea why it was necessary to kill it off ... Worked so well previously. seems lame to require the community to make it work.

I'm not sure of the exact history behind it breaking - it was to do with the switch to appengine I think - although @lemonad or @adewale will have more info on that front

@atmasphere: (@termie, please correct me here if I've described things incorrectly) The code was rewritten/converted to the Python framework Django to run under Google App Engine so m dot was not killed off, it was just not completed before the public move of Jaiku to Jaikuengine.

I think it was the best way to do it given the circumstances. Everyone had been waiting a long time for it to happen. Better that it happened then with pieces missing than not at all, which might have been the case if it had to be a 1:1 copy before releasing.

Personally, I think I had almost preferred seeing a m dot-only release before the full browser version :)

@atmasphere I knew someone else could explain it better than me :)

@atmasphere: The bug in the emails from the mobile client is being worked on in this patch: http://rietku.appspot.com/16004

The current blocker is that we need to find a way that makes it work for both jaiku.com and other JaikuEngine instances

Are people getting e-mail notifications for replies in threads they've posted in? I am not. Or is there a different issue being discussed here?

Uh, never mind. I double-checked on my e-mail notif settings and they got turned off. Turned them back on now. <<sheepish grin>>
